Lake Whitney

Lake Whitney is a year-round destination for Texas residents due to the abundance of water sports and activities all ages can enjoy. The most popular activities at the lake include fishing, boating, sailing, jet-skiing, wakeboarding, water skiing, hunting, and golf. The area was designated as the Gateway Captial of Texas by the Texas Legislature in 2005. 

Cleburne Railroaders

The Cleburne Railroaders are an independent professional baseball team based in Cleburne, Texas, that plays in the American Association. The team, which began play in 2017, plays its home games at The Depot at Cleburne Station.

Cliftex Theatre

The CLIFTEX is the oldest, continuously operating movie theatre in Texas. It is the only remaining of three theatres that were founded by D.C. Caraway in the early 1900s. It has been showing movies in downtown Clifton since 1916. 

Magnolia Market Silos

Magnolia Market at the SIlos is a shopping complex that encompasses two city blocks in downtown Waco. It is marked by two 120' high silos. The complex is owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines, best known for HGTV's Fixer Upper tv series.

Lake Aquilla

Lake Aquilla sits just west of Downtown Hillsboro and includes three boat ramps and six access areas. The lake is best known for its fishing. Largemouth bass fishing can be good on Lake Aquilla. There are some big bass to catch but you have to work for them. Crappie are usually found on submerged brush piles and large isolated trees. Channel and blue catfish are caught by drift fishing flats or on trotlines set around shallow, brushy areas. 

Dr Pepper Museum

A museum dedicated to the nation's oldest major soft drink- Dr Pepper! It offers three floors of exhibits featuring information about many different soft drinks, as well as a carefully curated selection of our massive soft drink memorabilia collection. 

Mayborn Museum

The Mayborn Museum Complex is a natural history with walk-in dioramas and exploration stations for geology paleontology, archaeology, and natural history. Sixteen themed discovery rooms encourage hands-on learning for all ages. The complex also includes a 13-acre historic village, a 5,000 square foot traveling exhibit gallery, and a theater. 

Red Caboose Winery

Red Caboose Winery produces award-winning Texas wines from estate-grown grapes. They grow sustainable, natural grapes, by hand, yielding superior quality fruit. This enables them to craft "Old World" wines using long-established methods.
